Whip 'n' Dip

Whip N Dip feels like a “keeping the family business” alive type of place. There is nothing commercial or "perfect" or glamorous about this place and THAT’S AMAZING. Let me explain.

A lot of the new ice cream shops have a theme, a consistent or trendy color scheme, and appear to be more put together than some restaurants and that's fine, but Whip N Dip is simple and easy to love. Soooo…..in all actuality…..how do I say this….there is nothing “Miami” about this place. THIS IS A GOOD THING. I know where to find ice cream shops that put a lot of effort into their decor, and those places are great, but I can appreciate a place that’s simple and all about the ice cream. Yes, I love Miami and everything that comes with it, but this place is so normal. Not fast paced. No glitz and glam. It has a "get your ice cream and go" feel to it. Focus on the ice cream, enjoy it with your friends or family and go on about your day. They have soft serve, specialty flavors and all the usual classics like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc. There weren’t any vibrant colors or cool pictures on the wall to sweep you off your feet, it’s a love it or hate it kind of place, a “take me as I am” type of situation. I can assure you there will be no hate or dislike in your mind about this place. Did I mention that the ice cream actually tastes good too? I didn't need to or else it wouldn't be on this site. Keep up. But since you need confirmation, yes, it's delicious!!

Price: Affordable. You should've known that by the first few sentences. I bought ice cream for 2 and it was barely $10. If you’re on a budget, come here!

Decor: This isn't important here because there really isn’t any decor. It’s clean, that’s all that needs to be said and that's the only thing that really matters here.

Occasion: Anytime. There isn’t a bad time for ice cream. In fact, it’s always a good time for ice cream. But I will mention that this is a good place to go after dinner or a date. They have seating outside, but that’s where all the other patrons are. (Yes, I'm against this seating option because I have a better solution in mind *insert dramatic hair flip here* ) There’s a really nice park that’s a block away. Get your ice cream and take your significant other to the park (If he/she is into that). I did this. Take my advice. I’m trying to make you fall in love with your significant other. You’re welcome. Also if you want to bond with anyone at all, not just a significant other, Whip N Dip & the park is the move!!* It was such an enjoyable experience for me so I have no doubt that you all will enjoy the ice cream/park duo as well.

*If you're interested in the park I mentioned above, it's called William H. Kerdyk Jr. and Family Park.
