Morelia Gourmet Paletas

Located in Coral Gables, Florida you'll find Morelia. When you first walk in, you'll immediately see the paletas and you won't want to look anywhere else until you choose the one your taste buds are in the mood for. Paletas are basically elaborate popsicles that are more than just frozen juice (in no way does calling it a popsicle diminish its greatness btw). With around 15 flavors, no matter what type of mood you’re in, I’m almost certain you can find at least three paletas you wanna try immediately. In fact, there was such a wide range of flavors that I was mentally planning my next visit before I could order my first paleta. Morelia specializes in paleta flavors that range from Mango to Cookies n Creme and everything in between. (Definitely about to become a rapper after that line. Did you see that word play???)

So after you choose a paleta, you can have it dipped in white or milk chocolate and topped with nuts or sprinkles. Keep in mind that all of the toppings are an extra charge, but it’s nothing to stress over. Not that Im telling you how to live your life & spend your money, but at least get toppings the first time you go for the full experience plz.

The Mango paleta tasted exactly like mangos (obviously, I know) but since they only use natural ingredients, they don't add a boat load of sugar which is excellent! This is more of a natural sugars only ordeal. Dipping it in chocolate gives it a small sugar kick if you want to make it sweeter! I recommend this because adding chocolate was a nice touch. Excuse me while I wipe my drool off the computer screen just thinking about it. I also had the Strawberry Cheesecake and Cookies n Creme paletas and they were equally as delicious so definitely try those if you can.

So, why would I recommend this place? (1) Most people have never heard of a paleta (2) This is a high quality establishment that’s worth the visit. (3) You need to take a break from soft serve and broaden your ice cream tasting horizons (okay that’s me being extra, but you get the idea) JUST GO!

Price: Average price is about $6 with two toppings so it’s not even close to being pricey.

Dress code: Whatever you want really, it's just an ice cream shop.

Decor: Vibrant colors, very clean and memorable.

Occasion: Go anytimeee. It's surrounded by a ton of boutiques so go shopping and get a paleta before you go home.
