Insomnia Cookies
Insomnia Cookies. Delicious is such a weak word to describe the desserts they offer. The cookies here are unforgettable and I can assure you anything you have here will be worthwhile.
Here, you can get just cookies, cookies with a scoop of ice cream or you can make an ice cream sandwich, also known as a "Cookiewich". Okay that sentence was purposely dry because I needed to lay a clear foundation first, now I'm about to be extra in the next few sentences, as usual. THE COOKIEWICH WAS AMAZING. I'm not overreacting or hyping it up. My cookiewich was excellent, to say the least. I got two macadamia nut cookies with cinnamon ice cream in between. The cookiewich was a lot to eat. I felt full as if I had eaten an entire meal. It was a weird but satisfying feeling since I was literally full of ice cream (I could've died peacefully at that moment, but my mom probably wouldn't have liked that). Insomnia cookies can stand on their own, they are just that good, but add ice cream and your trip gets 1000 times better. I would recommend getting the a la mode portion that includes just one cookie and one scoop of ice cream. I could barely finish my portion, so explore the a la mode option unless your stomach is a bottomless pit.
I'm featuring Insomnia Cookies on Living Not Loathing (1) Because several people in Orlando and Miami are unaware that it exists and (2) Because it's worth the visit. It's worth endless visits actually. The flavors are what compelled me to add this location and I was genuinely happy while eating my cookies (I think I was even dancing a little bit). So not only am I telling you about some cookies that literally fell from heaven, but I'm also inviting you to share a little bit of my happiness. Maybe you've heard of this place and you just haven't stopped by yet. If you were looking for a sign, this is it. Just go!!
Price: Inexpensive. Any budget can handle this. I paid around $6 for my dessert. The cookies range in size and they don't exceed $5 (individually)
Occasion: Anytime. After a meal, you just want a snack, you're just in the neighborhood, you want to gift a box of cookies, any reason. There are a few seats inside so dining in is possible!! But only like 8 seats so keep that in mind. They close at 3:00 am. 3am? Yes, 3AM. Not PM. So it's always a good time to enjoy Insomnia Cookies.
