Bolay

BOLAY. Rare. A gem. I have yet to come across a place like this until now and I wish I would've found it sooner. It’s fresh, it’s fun, and more important it’s GOOD FOR YOU. The Bolay team prides themselves on serving only gluten free products and never frying anything. That alone made me want to know more bout them.

Anytime I think of Bolay, I think of the song "ole oleeee ole oleeee" because it's pronounced in a similar way. Is that lame? Yes?? I'll be that. When I spoke with the manager, she told me that the name is a combination of the words "bowl" and "ole" because they want the meal to be fun and I can confidently say that the bowl was a lot of fun to make and eat! There were a lot of items on the menu I never had before, so I wasn't sure how it would turn out and it exceeded my expectations. It was like a scavenger hunt of flavors while eating it. There were so many different flavors to enjoy throughout the entire bowl.

In a way, Bolay is healthy fast food since the food is already prepared and on display when you arrive, as you'll see in the pictures above. This is truly a gift from God because if you're busy and don't have a lot of time to eat, but want something healthy, Bolay would be a lifesaver. And has been a lifesaver for me!!

Quinoa, cilantro noodles, black rice, a ton of vegetable options, sweet potatoes, shrimp, steak, bbq/lemon chicken, tofu (if you're into that), and so much more. Bolay can support the carnivore, the vegan, and everyone in between while providing a consistent outcome: FRESH TASTY HEALTHY FOOD. A lot things that are healthy aren't very enjoyable and that's just a harsh reality, but Bolay ties every dish together in a way that throws that stereotype out of the window.

Price: A little on the pricey side, however it's completely justified. Healthy food that actually tastes good won't have McDonald's prices, obvi. So I'd say it was worth the money.

Occasion: You can come here anytime. The food is already made, so if you need a quick bite, pull up here. There's also plenty of seats here so dining in is an option!!

Decor: So consistent and appealing. Nice color scheme and it's CLEAN. Cleanliness is next to Godliness (which is not a scripture at all, btw. I just wanted to say it.)

Dress code: Not important here, just sit down and enjoy your food!!
