Ms. Cheezious

Okay, before we get into this post let’s take a moment to appreciate the incredibly creative name the owners came up with. I know I wouldn't have thought of a name like this and just the name alone makes you want to visit the venue off of the strength of it. Or maybe the name and a picture of the mac n cheese grilled cheese sandwich would make you want to visit. (Yes, mac n cheese in between two slices of bread. Just when you thought you'd seen it all).

Located in a store front in Coral Gables you'll find Ms. Cheezious. Finding this place was a mission so be prepared for that. It’s not hidden but it’s easily missed and overlooked if you don't have prior knowledge of the area. But after finding the venue, you'll see a nice, clean restaurant and a menu with so many delicious options. I really couldn't choose just one thing because I wanted everything. There was a bbq chicken sandwich, a mac n cheese one, a buffalo chicken with bleu cheese one and the list goes on! I spent a minimum of 5 minutes debating whether I should keep it simple for my first time or just go crazy. I chose the route in between those and got the buffalo bleu sandwich. (I think that’s the halfway point? A sandwich that’s fun, but safe? Right? Right?? Okay we're getting off task. Just keep reading please)

So, as far as the presentation of my sandwich, it was okay. But what was inside the sandwich was wonderful. It made me happy. I really enjoyed the way the blue cheese and buffalo were combined on one sandwich and not separate as they usually are in most dishes. I really wish I ordered multiple sandwiches at one time just to get a feel of the menu from additional perspectives but I knew I wouldn't have been able to finish every single one or even half of all of them. Also the sandwich alone is $10+ so that’s important to take into consideration. I’ll most likely update this post the more I visit to offer more reviews of different items so you know a little more about the sandwiches before you visit. You’re welcome.

I think all my vegetarians out there would be pleased to hear that they they have vegetarian options so you can feel comfortable coming here. It’s a limited section that doesn't have as many options as the non-vegetarian options, but just know they had you all in mind when creating the menu.

The actual restaurant apart from the food is super. freaking. cool. They had Jenga. I’m obsessed with Jenga. Okay not obsessed but if I see Jenga blocks, no matter where we are, get ready to play at least one round with me. They also had games like Cards Against Humanity, Connect Four, Apples to Apples and so many more of the fun classics. Needless to say this would be an excellent place to go with a group of friends, no matter the size of the group. They also serve beer so a more mature game night is definitely possible here, but this venue is still suitable for all ages.

The laid back demeanor of this place makes you feel very comfortable and the food is good, so that only contributes to the experience as a whole.

Price: Expect to spend a minimum of $10 here and that’s only for the sandwich. If you want drinks and food I would expect a minimum of $20.

Occasion: Go here at anytime. It's a simple restaurant, nothing extra or fancy.

Dress Code: Normal, everyday clothes. Jeans and a t-shirt type of place.

Decor: Super cool. There’s a huge painting on one wall that’s painted really well (see pic). There’s nice decorative signs and the color scheme is excellent. The tables, chairs, booths, and even the lighting blends very well together.
