Miam Cafe

Recently I’ve been trying a bunch of new cafes that are aesthetically pleasing because it automatically shows how much the owners care about their customers. Any location that provides well thought-out decor while maintaining the cleanliness of their establishment speaks volumes. With that being said, if cute, clean, delicious, and relaxing coffee shops are your thing, then Miam Cafe is your place.

One thing I admire about this cafe is that the food is prepared fresh everyday. Nothing is prepackaged or taken out of a plastic wrap to heat up when you order it. Everything is displayed in a glass case just waiting to be enjoyed. They have pastries, desserts, muffins, well prepared sandwiches and many more items that look absolutely delicious and I'm not exaggerating when I say that. If I could eat all day without gaining weight I probably would get everything, every single time I went there, seriously. It's also very convenient that they put the prices in front of each item so you can not only calculate how many calories you're prepared to risk, but also how much cash you're willing to splurge on desserts. This is an actual thought process for me and if this doesn't happen to you hopefully a cookie falls out of the sky congratulating you at the end of this sentence for being better than the rest of us.

Another thing I absolutely loved is that they serve breakfast beyond pastries. Im talking about eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, french toast, avocado tartine and so much more. I’m a huge fan of breakfast so this means a lot to me. You can come to this cafe for a light breakfast with your coffee or a full blown feast and that makes me happy. You’ll soon realize how much of a brunch queen I am and why I obsess over places that offer a full breakfast and lunch at the same time. There’s so much freedom in having the option of a sweet (french toast w/ syrup) or savory (breakfast burrito) meal. Okay cool breakfast, whatever, but they have mimosas. And as soon as mimosas come into the picture, it's Brunch. Automatically. By default. Don't debate me on this. What else do I need to say about that other than you definitely need to make your way there? Nothing else.

A unique touch they include in the cafe is the wall of products they have. You can find homemade Kombucha drinks, unique greeting cards/stationery, homemade honey, apparel, different types of vinegar, oils, champagne and so many other cool things. I always stop at this wall when I visit unless I'm in a hurry and even still I’ll at least walk by to see what’s new. The wall flows effortlessly into the theme of the restaurant and is worth every minute of your time.

All in all, this is one of my favorite cafes now and just the sound of the name gets me excited. It’s worth the visit and you won't be disappointed. If you are disappointed, their lovely staff will correct the issue the best they can and as fast as they can.

Enjoy!

P.S. Pleaseeee try the duffins. Excellent is an understatement. Warning!: They're highly addicting and sugar may or may not be covering your lips completely while eating them.

Price: If you frequent coffee shops that don't serve cuban coffee, you should be okay with the prices here. Being in Miami, if you're used to sipping cortaditos and coladas for less than $2 then you're in for a rude awakening. Think more of Starbucks' prices for the drinks. The food is pretty reasonable but some items are noticeably more pricey than others. The more complex the meal is, the more dollasss you spend.

Occasion: It's a quiet cafe, be chill. Also there’s a nice couch here so you could definitely stop by to just read a magazine or book.

Dress code: It’s a cafe, come as you are.

Decor: Nice, simple, consistent. They have fresh flowers on the table and the cutest little salt and pepper shakers placed in a wooden container. Why would I mention that? Because the devil’s in the details. They could’ve gotten basic items but did they? No sir. They wanted us to know they cared enough to think about things people usually overlook. Is that true? No clue but it makes for a better story line. 10/10 for me!
