Green Plate Asian Bistro

I LOVEEEEEE GREEN PLATE SO MUCH. When I say they have variety, I mean it in every way possible. The decor, the food, everything is BOMB. This is one of the first restaurants that sparked my obsession with nice decor in restaurants. You can really tell that a lot of thought went into creating a certain ambiance all the way down to the smallest details. On my first visit two years ago, I’m almost certain I spent a significant amount of time discussing the inside of the venue before I could even get to the menu. Most times, there is soft, upbeat music playing and personally I think every seat in the house is good. I’ve enjoyed the dining experience from every angle, which also kinda lets you know how many times I’ve been here. It’s good for a simple lunch date, or even a casual dinner party. It’s not for upscale occasions at all, but of course never miss an opportunity to slay, dress up, or get fancy if that’s how you're feeling.

NOW THE FOOD!

Amazing. Memorable. Fresh. This is one of my favorites because it’s extremely apparent that the sushi rolls are freshly made and they also have a wide selection of the rolls. It’s not your traditional Asian restaurant that only sells things you can find just anywhere, but the dishes are unique. Of course, they have traditional dishes such as Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, and Crab Rangoon, but they manage to create things that go beyond the norm such as the Cheese waffle with Crispy Chicken which is chicken and waffles with an Asian twist (pictured above) or Oat Crunch Rocky Shrimp which is a nice appetizer you wont forget. The dishes aren’t things you come by daily and you may have to go out on a limb to try something new, but you’ll have no regrets after the first bite. In fact, after finishing a dish, you’ll wish it didn’t end so fast.

They also have happy hour where quite a few of the items are listed at a discounted price. It’s between 4pm-7pm which could be a late lunch or early dinner, but also if you want something quick, light, and delicious to eat. If you want good food, nice decor, good energy, and an overall great experience, Green Plate is the place for you!

Price: The average dish is around $10-18 and the sushi rolls are priced really well. When I say dish, I mean the larger plates which could serve two people because that how big they are.You could easily be satisfied with one of their appetizers, a smaller portion and cheaper option, or one of the sushi rolls. Some of the cheapest rolls are around $6 and that’s a steal for the quality they provide.

Occasion: Green Plate would actually be good for a lot of occasions. Celebrating a birthday, a lunch/dinner before going out for the night, almost anything. I believe the trip here is what you make it. So, if you want to chill, be chill here and if it’s your birthday, slay at Green Plate. During the day, it’s a little quiet in my opinion so if you want to have a nice meal while discussing anything important, work or school related, this would be possible here.

Dress Code: The dress code is casual here but if you feel like wearing heels or nice dress shoes, you wouldn’t be out of place. If you’re celebrating something special or if it’s a date night, you can dress up for those occasions as well without feeling uncomfortable. Personally, whether I was wearing jeans or a nice dress, I still felt comfortable.

Decor: A M A Z I N G. Well thought-out. The theme is consistent and will definitely leave a lasting impression on you. I would tell you to pay special attention to it on your first visit, but honestly it’s hard to miss.
